Mad Men

Skipped my shower today so I could watch the season premiere of Mad Men. There's only so much time between the kids' bedtime and mine. It was worth it, I think.

Today I want to uproot. Maybe to somewhere that has the appeal that CA had in the late 60's.

End Day 23.

Oh man, I feel you. We had the choice yesterday of watching Mad Men, House of Cards, or going to bed early. We watched House of Cards and then I was still awake when Elliot woke up for his midnight feed. And man, CA in the 60s sounds so idyllic. I was talking to this one patient who grew up in San Diego in the 60s, and all the places I knew of that were covered in parking lots, malls, and highways were just vegetable fields. And kids would just go to the beach and parking wasn't a problem. It's sad that that part of the world will never be the same again- that those people who got to enjoy it then will be the last people who got to...

SLC has lots of California "ex-pats" trying to run away from the traffic and the crowds. But there's no beach and a severe dearth of Don Draper-like characters. ;) Oh, and there's way way too much snow and way too many Mormons- haha!
